We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that many women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other females.
