We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. Then in the third week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the depression set in, I began to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that most females in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her partner and remains in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time.
