We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many women in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. Then last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.
