We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to finish with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. The very first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
