With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
