From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
