We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been much like you. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most ladies at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
