We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been much like you. Triggering to work every day, worried more about what I was going to make with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. The very first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a malaise began to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I talked to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
