After smoking almost continually when the anxiety set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
