We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost constantly when the anxiety set in, I began to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.
