I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would interrupt me now, and state that many ladies at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
