After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house.
