From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house.
