Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking nearly constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of ladies in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her partner and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
