We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continually when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her spouse and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
