We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a reservation. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been similar to you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continually when the depression embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that most females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her spouse and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Naturally, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever talked to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
