We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been just like you. We have a no smoking policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I began to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
