We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been much like you. Then in the 3rd week, a despair began to creep in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
