We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of all of it. I think it's time I gave you a complete picture of our street and individuals who reside on it. It will be available in useful later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
