We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all).
