We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her other half and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
