We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically continuously when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
