We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been just like you. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and remains in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time.
