We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had actually been just like you. In the 3rd week, a despair started to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time.
