We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had actually been just like you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her hubby and remains in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. I never spoke with him, despite the fact that what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
