After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
