We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. After smoking practically continually when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
