We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
