We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This suggests that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
