We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking nearly continuously when the depression set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that most females in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of everything. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and individuals who reside on it. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She recently separated from her husband and remains in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never ever spoke to him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
