We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I began to select up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that most females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
