We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
