We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
