All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been similar to you. A semi-serious problem. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could stroll, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-lasting ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. In the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of everything. I believe it's time I offered you a complete photo of our street and the people who survive on it. It will be available in beneficial later. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her spouse and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I talked to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke with him, even though what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
