I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women.
