We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost constantly when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that many females in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She recently separated from her other half and is in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. I never ever spoke with him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
