All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of all of it. I believe it's time I gave you a total picture of our street and the people who reside on it. It will can be found in helpful later on. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
