We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been similar to you. Then in the 3rd week, a despair started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
