We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
