We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had actually been much like you. We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
