All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the depression set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. I believe it's time I provided you a total picture of our street and individuals who live on it. It will come in beneficial later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
