We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been just like you. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would depend on. Then, I established a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could walk, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a malaise began to sneak in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in the house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her other half and remains in the process of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke with them, I utilized terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City. I never talked to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
