We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house.
