We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that most ladies at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
