With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
