November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that many women at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all).
