The very first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, implemented on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking practically continuously when the depression set in, I started to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of females in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the process of moving.
