All of us accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. Then in the third week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to select up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of all of it. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
