I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her hubby and is in the procedure of moving.
