Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two homes throughout the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that many ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a complete image of our street and the people who live on it. It will come in beneficial later on. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
