In the 3rd week, a despair started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
