We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most individuals would interrupt me now, and state that many females at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other ladies. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her spouse and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and dad Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Of course, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever spoke with him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
