We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that many females in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. I think it's time I gave you a total photo of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will can be found in useful in the future. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
