We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
