We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
