From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her other half and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time.
