We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking nearly constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not understand the half of it all. I think it's time I provided you a total picture of our street and the people who reside on it. It will be available in helpful later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her other half and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this space in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City. I never ever talked to him, despite the fact that what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
