I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat.
